Levi Benton Godsey Sr.

Levi B. Godsey Sr., 79, of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:35 AM Saturday, July 30, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. Levi was born on December 28, 1942 in Franklin County, AL to Tolbert and Clara (Porter) Godsey. He married Marie Abraham in 1964. She passed away on February 15, 2000. He married Camilla Westervelt on March 6, 2004. She passed away on March 11, 2014. Also preceding in death are his parents, one son, Levi Godsey Jr., and two brothers, Kenny Godsey and Quinton Godsey. Surviving are: one son, Brent Godsey of Pekin; one daughter, Carla Henrichs of Pekin; four grandchildren, Mark Henrichs, Colleen Wiles, Nathan Godsey, Robert Godsey and Timothy Godsey; four great grandchildren, Jonathon Wiles, Caitlin Wiles, Cristen Wiles, Madison Foreman, Faith Godsey, Isabella Godsey and Logan Godsey; one brother, Niles (Nancy) Godsey of Washington, IL; four sisters, Mary Hardin, Aurece Connor and Terri Dunn all of Danville, IL and Sheronette Avery of Blytheville, AR; special companion, Ethel Spracklen of Pekin. Levi was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam War. He was service technician for Patterson Dental Company for 22 years retiring in 2017. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from one hour prior to the memorial service. Military honors will be provided by the United States Navy and the Tazewell Military Rites Team. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
