Leo L. Vance

Leo L. Vance, 79, of Marquette Heights, IL passed away at 8:48 AM Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria. Leo was born on May 31, 1938 in Camden, IL to Leonidas and Mildred (Beebe) Vance. He married Delores Wolf on March 17, 1962 in Alton, IL. Preceding in death are his parent, two brothers and three sisters. Surviving are: his wife, Delores of Marquette Heights; one son, Tim Vance of Pekin; two daughters, Tammy Harms of Pekin and Traycee (Emanuel) Gilleylen of Zeeland, MI; five grandchildren, Jaymee and Jeremy Harms, Noah, Jakob and Christian Gilleylen; one great grandchild, Ryder Harms; three sisters, Sandy (Bob) Bushkirk of St. Peters, MO, Betty Schmidt of California and Jack Leverton of East Peoria. Leo was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, AMVETS and American Legion. Private graveside services with military honors will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL. The arrangements have been entrusted to Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin.
