Larry R. Lundy

Larry R. Lundy, 66, 1501 Stout St. Pekin died at 1:20 pm Sunday, March 23, 2008 at his home. Larry was born April 30, 1941 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to W. Doyle and Pauline (Clark) Lundy. He married Carol Randleman on September 6, 1959 in North Pekin, IL. She died on December 6, 2006. Preceding him in death are his parents, wife and one sister, Anna Ruth Lundy. Surviving are: his special friend, Margaret "Pegi" Lundy of Pekin; three sons, Tom (and Amy) Lundy of Pekin, Tim (and Mary) Lundy of Pekin and Scott (and Kathy) Lundy of Peoria, IL; eight grandchildren, Shawn, Helena, Heather, Jennifer, Tyler, Toby, Cari Ann and Zach; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Roland (and Joann) Lundy, Stanley (and Kathy) Lundy and Olin Lundy all of Pekin; three sisters, Kathryn (and Paul) Reynolds of Baxter, KY, Diane (and Jerome) Smallwood and Darlene Mills both of Pekin. Larry retired from Caterpillar Inc., in 2003 after 38 years of service as a machine operator. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and Cat Retirees. He was an avid boater, fisherman and hunter. He loved working on outboard motors in his garage. Larry was a veteran with the United States Army serving from 1956 to 1958.
