Larry G. Betzelberger

Larry G. Betzelberger, 77, of Pekin, IL passed away at 10:31 PM Friday, March 28, 2025 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria, IL. Larry was born on July 30, 1947 in Pekin to Glenn Fredrick and Pauline Alice (Renner) Betzelberger. He married Karen Crittenden on March 21, 1970 in Grayslake, IL. Preceding him in death are his parents, one grandson, Zachary Betzelberger and one sister, Janis L. Becker. Surviving are: his wife, Karen of Pekin; one son, Edward (Christina) Betzelberger of Pekin; two daughters, Anna (Bradley) Moore of Bartonville and Mary (Chad) Wiehe of Pekin; five grandchildren, Logan, Madelyn, Olivia, Alexandra and Ethan; and 2 nieces and great-niece and nephews. Larry was an IT Quality Control Specialist for Caterpillar for over 30 years retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ. He had participated in Cornstalk Theater, Eastlight Theater, Peoria Players and Pekin Civic Chorus. He was an avid miniature gamer, military history buff and Disney fan. He enjoyed building models and judging at IESA speech contests. A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Judy Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, April 11th and from 10:00 AM 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 12th both at the church.
