Larry A. Bender

Larry A. Bender, 75, of Creve Coeur, IL passed away at 12:55 AM Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Pekin Manor with his family by his side. Larry was born on July 1, 1946 in Buckhannon, WV to Andrew and Cosby (Bennett) Bender. He married Lynda Potts Dollar on May 8, 1987 in Pekin, IL. Preceding in death are his parents, five brothers, six sisters and his son, Patrick Dollar. Surviving is: his wife, Lynda of Creve Coeur; three sons, Jeremy (Kayla) Dollar of Washington, IL, James (Lisa) Dollar of Marshfield, MO and Stephen (Kathy) Dollar of Peoria, IL; one daughter, Shelly (Thomas) Turpen of Creve Coeur; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Larry worked for Carter Paper and Packaging Company in Peoria for forty-four years retiring in 2012. He enjoyed antique cars and western movies. He was a loving and caring family man. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM Friday, November 19, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Michael Andrejek officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM 7:00PM Thursday at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donors choice.
