Larry Abercrombie

Larry W. Abercrombie, 73, of Pekin died at 6:01 pm Saturday, January 8, 2011 at his home. Larry was born on January 29, 1937 in Peoria, IL to Wayne Earl and Louise (Nestrick) Abercrombie. He married Terry Hickey in 1968. He later married Marilyn Zickert on October 19, 1984 in Pekin, IL. She died on November 17, 2003. Surviving are: two sons, Todd (Teresa) Abercrombie of Peoria and Curt Abercrombie of Florence, KY; two step daughters, Marla (Denny) Kief of Pekin and Marcia Zickert of Pekin; three grandchildren, Natasha, Sydney and Mira Abercrombie; two step grandchildren, Michelle (Adam) Campbell and Megan Williams; one half sister, Barbara Gordley. Larry was a veteran of United States Navy serving from 1955 - 1959. He was a technician for Illinois Bell for thirty years. He enjoyed coin collecting, genealogy and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.
