Kevin L. Schlobohm

Kevin Schlobohm, 68, of Pekin, IL passed away at 10:43 AM, Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Kevin was born on September 25, 1957 in Pekin, IL to Rudolph H. and Jeanette E. (Jennings) Schlobohm.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are; one brother, Melvin (Agnes) Schlobohm of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Debra (Dale) McKenny of Pekin, and many friends who good-naturedly called him ‘Schlo’.

Kevin was raised and confirmed at St. Paul United Church of Christ. He was a farm boy who continued to help his Dad during planting and harvest seasons while he worked swing shifts at Commonwealth Edison Powerton Station. He was fortunate to retire at an early age in 1999 as an Equipment Operator from the Operating Department. Kevin said he never had to listen to an alarm clock ever again.

Kevin enjoyed spending time with friends including his trips to California and the Colorado / Nevada ski slopes. He also cherished simple pleasures, such as driving around while listening to the radio; and eating weekly buffet dinners with his Mom. Kevin loved a good game of Euchre with family and friends.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Heather Robertson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior, starting at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery in South Pekin.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ or a charity of the donor’s choice.
