Kenneth E. Webster

Kenneth E. "Kenny" Webster, 96, of East Peoria, IL passed away at 4:43 AM Friday, November 18, 2022 at OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home. Kenneth was born on June 12, 1926 in Peoria, IL to Rufus and Edna (Summerlott) Webster. He married Delores Stumetz on December 15, 1947 in Pekin. She passed away on July 17, 2009. Also preceding in death are his parents, one daughter, Sharon Slater, one grandson, Robert Webster and one stepbrother, William Cockrell. Surviving are one son, Kenneth W. (Ursula) Webster of East Peoria, four grandsons, Jason (Dawn) Webster of High Ridge, MO, Jerry Webster of Manchester, MO, Justin Slater-Webster of Washburn, IL and Joey (Amber) Slater-Webster of East Peoria, IL, two step-grandchildren, Marco (Brittany) Ricaldone of Marquette Heights and Daniela Ricaldone of San Diego, eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Kenneth was a World War II United States Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific theater from 1943-1947. He worked as a Precision Machinist at Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years retiring in 1981. Kenneth had a lifelong passion for automobiles always looking for the next car to buy. He also loved his cats Morris and Lucky who were his steady companions and gave him comfort and joy after his wife passed away. His graveside service will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Oak Grove Bible Church Cemetery in East Peoria. Military rites will be provided by the United States Navy and the Tazewell County Military Rites Team. Cremation has been accorded. The family is being assisted by Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory in Pekin. Memorial contributions may be given to T.A.P.S. in Pekin or OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
