Kellie E. Elkins

Kellie E. Elkins, 49, of Pekin passed away at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 17, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL., as a result of complications caused from an automobile accident on December 1. Kellie was born on June 12, 1962 in Pekin, IL to Richard R. and Virginia (Pollock) Elkins. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Surviving are: his mother, Ginny of Pekin; one brother, Steven (Patricia) Elkins of Indian Rocks Beach, FL; nephew, Marc (Kimberlie) Elkins of Mackinaw, IL; niece, Kim Bruno of Indianapolis, IN; and several great nieces and nephews. Kellie was a title searcher for Stewart Title Company of Houston, TX.He enjoyed golfing and antiques. He had great memories of fishing with his dad. He was a former member of the Pekin Elks Club. He attended University of S.W. Louisiana (USL) majoring in Architectural History.He volunteered for archeological digs searching for Indian artifacts. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, December 23, 2011 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin. Rev. Walt Greenleaf will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday, December 22 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
