Kayla D. Casper, 21, 1813 Mitchell Street Pekin was pronounced dead at 8:30 pm Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in Pekin. Kayla was born February 10, 1987 in Pekin to David R. and Lynn (Berchtold) Casper. Preceding her in death are her father David R. Casper. Surviving are: her mother and step father, Lynn (and David) Roth; one brother, Travis (and Kristi) Casper of Pekin; two step brothers, Justin and Tavis Roth both of Pekin;fiancee, Brian Caldwell; paternal grandparents, Chuck and Mary Jean Casper of Vienna, IL; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Heuck of Pekin; maternal grandfather, Bob Berchtold of North Pekin; maternal step grandfather, Melvin Heuck of California; three aunts, Kay (and Robert) Hasslett of Pekin, Jackie (and Dan) Englebrecht of Pekin and Carla Berchtold of North Pekin; and several cousins. Kayla was employed at Menards in Pekin last working on Monday. She loved cats, care bears and listening to music.Kayla was an avid Everquest player.
