Katherine Angela Lang

Katherine A. Lang, 92, of Havana, IL passed away at 6:20 am Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Katherine was born October 15, 1916 in Pekin to Charles and Stella Starcevich. She married William Lang Sr. on May 2, 1938. Katherine and Bill were married for 70 years. Surviving are: her husband, Bill of Havana; one son, Bill Lang Jr. of Topeka, IL; one granddaughter, Judy Eades of Pekin; four great grandchildren, Beth Ruder, Steven, Daniel, and Scott Eades all of Pekin; and five great great grandchildren; one brother, Karl Starcevich of Florida; two sisters, Virginia Meagher of Crawfordsville, IN and Theresa Neaville of Pekin. Katherine and her husband Bill owned the Kumbak Caf on Derby Street in Pekin for over 25 years. She loved to play the guitar, harmonica and sing. She was an avid fisherman.
