Karen Fay Snyder

Karen Snyder, 59 of Pekin passed away at 9:50 am, Thursday, January 19, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born in Havana, IL to Harry H. and Frieda M (Bachman) Williams on December 21, 1963. She met the love of her life, William Curtis Tibbett in 1996. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2013. She was also preceded in death by; her parents; one sister, Barbara Mae Williams; and one brother, Mike Williams. Karen is survived by; two sons, Dennis (Amber) Williams of Pekin and Delbert Tibbett of Peoria; Two daughters, Jessica (Hugh) Jordan of Pekin, and Felicia Snyder of Pekin; ten grandchildren, Clint Colson, Kami, Kylei and Abby Williams, Jazmin, Chelsey, Jaelynn and Dalton Jordan, and Kylar and Klayton Courtright; one great-grandson to be born in March of 2023, two brothers, John Spoede, and Harry (Kim) Williams both of Pekin; and three sisters, Mary Williams of Pekin, Gloria Williams of Mackinaw, and Bertha Williams of Pekin. She was enjoyed watching racing, going fishing and camping and was always up for cards, be it Spades, Uno or others. She was born on a farm and was always a farm girl. She enjoyed watching movies and the Food Network. She was hardworking and had an untouchable strength, truly the glue that held her family together. Her favorite times, were those spent with her grandkids. Her absolute greatest love and treasure was her family. Karen will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday February 1, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin with Pastor Judith Thomas officiating. A visitation will be held the night prior from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Tuesday, January 31, 2023 also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin. Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses made in care of Henderson Funeral Home.
