June N. Price

June N. Price, 89, of Pekin passed away at 3:45 AM Monday, January 23, 2012 at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin. June was born on January 20, 1923 in Hanna City, Illinois to Clifford and Gladys A. (Welch) Potter. She married Marion F. Price on March 17, 1949 in Peoria, IL. He passed away on September 23 1958. Also preceding in death is her parents, step father, Clifton Higgs and brother, Roland 'Bud' Potter. Surviving is: one son, Dennis (Kristie) Price of Pekin; one daughter, Deborah (John) McClain of Vernon, Florida; two grandchildren, Craig (Michelle) McClain of Durham, NC and Heather (Danny) Griffin of Millbrook, AL; and three great grandchildren, Colleen, William and Joseph Griffin. June as employed in the business office of Methodist Medical Center for 19 years retiring on March 1, 1988. She was a member of First Christian Church in Pekin and Blue Tri Club. She was an avid Cub fan. Services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, January 27, 2012 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin. Officiating will be Rev. Michael Roberts. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday, Jan. 26 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dream Factory, First Christian Church or donor's Choice.
