Julie A. Vogel Watkins, 54, of Pekin, IL passed away at 1:10 PM Thursday, September 6, 2012 at her home. Julie was born on June 28, 1958 in Pekin to Raymond Lee and Marjorie Mae (Emerson) Vogel. Surviving is: one son, Brian Berchtold of Steward, IL; one daughter, Amber (Scott) Lenne of Green Valley, IL; one granddaughter, Charlee Lenne of Green Valley; her parents, Raymond and Marjorie Vogel of Mapleton, IL; one sister, Denise (Robert) Geier of Glasford, IL; two nephews, Jason and Adam Geier of Glasford; one niece, Samantha Geier of Glasford; husband, Paul Watkins of Pekin; one step son, Adam Watkins of Carbondale, IL. Julie was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Glasford. She was a teacher at Tremont High School for ten years last working Wednesday, Sept. 5. She enjoyed bowling and listing to music. Julie loved teaching and connecting with her students. She cherished her granddaughter. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin with Rev. Harlan Kaden officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Monday, Sept 10 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kingston Mines Cemetery.
