Judy K. Burkhalter

Judy K. Burkhalter, 70, of Pekin passed away at 10:30 PM Monday, February 14, 2022 at Washington Senior Living. Judy was born on March 20, 1951 in Quincy, IL to Delmo Lee and Donna Rae (Rardon) Deming who preceded her in death. She married Frankie L. Burkhalter, on June 8, 1974 in Liberty, IL. They were happily married for 34 years before he passed away on March 1, 2009. Judy had several secretarial jobs before becoming a Librarian at Caterpillar for fifteen years. She attended Pekin First Church of the Nazarene. Judy loved cooking, baking, reading, and traveling. The greatest joy of her life was her family and spending time with them. Surviving is: one son, Charles (Patricia) Burkhalter of North Pekin, IL; one grandson, Jacob Weis of North Pekin; one sister, Dixie Kendall of Colona, IL. She also had many nieces, nephews, and friends she loved dearly. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Pekin First Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM Friday, February 18th at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
