Judith D. "Judie" Pelini

Judith Domke Pelini, 89, of Pekin, IL passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025 at her residence. Judie was born on June 20, 1935 in Peoria, IL to Dr. Edward and Eunice (Hundley) Domke. She married Ovelio Pelini on October 2, 1971 in Pekin. He passed away on Oct. 27, 1994. Also preceding death are her parents and three step sons, Col. (Ret) Louis V. Pelini, Larry Pelini and Greg Pelini. Surviving are: two sons, Mario Domke (Andrea) Pelini and Col. Marc Edward (Cara) Pelini; four grandchildren, Emma, Sara, Olivia and Isabella; many step grandchildren. Judie was an Executive Secretary for American Distilling in Pekin and an Administrative Assistant for International Paper in Peoria. She served as Secretary and Board member of Young Republicans, first female advisor of Junior Achievement in Pekin, Secretary and Board member of Pekin Community Concerts, served on Board of Pekin Grade School District 108 and member of First Baptist Church. Her greatest honor was to be a mother to her two sons. They were the light of her life. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, April 18, 2025 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Judy Doyle officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM 11:00 AM Friday. Interment will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to TAPS, 100 Taps Lane, Pekin, IL 61554.
