Judith A. Kluever, 84, of Pekin, IL passed away at 3:05 PM Sunday, March 15, 2026 at her home.
Judy was born on March 19, 1941, in Pekin to Alva Frank and Ruby Theadora (Fisher) Manhusen. She married Jack Kluever on February 25, 1961, in Pekin, and they shared sixty-five loving years of marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carol Lawson.
Judy is survived by her son, Steven (Robin) Kluever of Aurora, Colorado; her daughter, Jodie Clark of Fort Wayne, Indiana; four grandchildren, John (Brittany) Kluever, Julie (Cameron) Folan, Hunter (Emily) Clark, and Hannah (Rick) Day; and seven great-grandchildren, Hanley, Tage, and Oaklyn Kluever, and Booker, Tide, Fields, and Verily Folan.
Judy was a faithful member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. She graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1959 and remained closely connected to her community throughout her life. She was a special ed teacher for Tazewell Mason County Special Education Association.
She was a lifetime member of the Pekin Hospital League and also participated in the YMCA Reserves. Judy treasured time with friends, especially through her card club which began in 1959, and continued for more than 60 years. She was also involved in a Bunco club with friends. Judy enjoyed reading, traveling, and boating. Beginning in 1992, she and her family spent many winters at their condo in Florida, where she loved escaping the cold and enjoying time by the water.
Above all, Judy cherished her family. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and rarely missed the opportunity to travel and attend their sporting events and activities. Family was the center of her life.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin with Rev. Heather Robertson officiating. A visitation will be on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
Memorial contributions may be made to TAPS or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
