Joyce M. Warner

Joyce Marguerite Warner, 79, of Dunnellon, FL formerly of Pekin passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2009. Joyce was born on September 22, 1929 in Flint, Michigan to Carl and Marguerite Derry Winkel. She married Ramon W. Warner on July 10, 1950 in Pekin. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two brothers and a twin sister. Surviving are: her husband of Dunnellon, FL; two daughters, Joanne (Randy) Druryand Patty (Mark) Friedrich both of Pekin; three grandsons, Clinton ( Sarah)Drury, Seth Friedrich and AJ Friedrich; One greatgrand daughter Sawyer Drury; three sisters, BettyCurrie of California, Marjorie Luce of Maine and Harriet Harris of Pekin; one half sister Martha Ann Jacques of Michigan. Joyce's mother died when she was an infant. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Elsie and Oscar Winkel. Joyce was a 1947 graduate of Pekin Community High School. After attending MacMurry College, she worked at N Reuling Co. and Corn Products. She was an avid reader and loved to fish. Joyce's proudest accomplishment was her children and grandchildren. She was well known for her great sense of humor and love of animals.
