Joseph E. Fardel

Joseph E. Fardel Jr., 67, of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:08 PM Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. Joe was born on October 12, 1946 in Pekin, IL to Joseph and Clarine (Russell) Fardel Sr. He married Laura Rogers on May 12, 1966 in Palmyra, MO. Preceding in death are his parents and one brother, Allen Fardel. Surviving are: his wife, Laura of Pekin; two sons, Troy Joseph (Theresa) Fardel and Joe Allen Fardel both of Pekin; one daughter, Tonya (Kevin) Phillips of Pekin; seven granddaughters, one grandson, two great grandsons, two great granddaughters; one sister, Barbara Rumerfield of Lacon, IL. Joe was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a welder at Caterpillar Inc. for thirty years retiring in 2009. He was a member of UAW #974. Joe's two greatest passions were golfing and fishing. He was the horseshoe champion at the Illinois State Fair for many years. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, November 25, 2013 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. in Pekin with Rev. Timothy Najpaver officiating.
