Johnsie D. Haynes Jr.

Johnsie D. Haynes Jr, 73 of Pekin passed away at 12:52 pm, Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at Carle Health Pekin Hospital. He was born to Johnsie D. and Virgina (Parr) Haynes Sr. in Pekin on August 14, 1951. He married Mary Candler on April 16, 1973 in Pekin. He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Virginia Tucker; one brother, Mickey Haynes; and two sisters, Roberta Taylor and Billie Barbour. Johnsie is survived by; his wife Mary of 51 years; two daughters, Jessica Haynes and Johnica (Randy) Tucker of Pekin; four grandchildren, Madison Haynes, Garin Haynes, Davin Haynes, and Ryan Tucker; and two great grandchildren, Avalyn Haynes and Jaxson Schroeder. He previously worked for Monge Construction, then after moving to Tennessee he drove for Carl Stewart Trucking. He later was owner and operator of his own concrete business. Johnsie enjoyed woodworking, music, and motorcycles. He also built homes. He was treasured by his family and will be greatly missed. Per his request, there will be no services and cremation has been accorded.
