Johnnie Wolf

Johnnie L. Wolf, 94, of Pekin, IL passed away at 8:55 AM Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at his home. Johnnie was born on June 12, 1918 in Pekin to John and Alice (Lee) Wolf. He married Marion Gardner on June 30, 1944 in Pekin. She died in August 7, 1966. He then married Jewell Phillips on September 8, 1983 in Arkansas. She died on February 5, 1992. Also preceding in death are his parents, three brothers and four sisters. Surviving is: two daughters, Kathy Wolf of Pekin and Sherry (Don) Krehl of DeKalb, IL; two grandsons, Tim (Barbara) Krehl of Naperville, IL and Jeff Krehl of Chandler, AZ; two great grandchildren, Cheyenne and Alex Krehl; four step sons, John (Joyce) Phillips, Larry Phillips and Rodney Phillips all of Pekin and Harlan Phillips; one step daughter, Jean Toepper of Florida; one sister- in- law, Helen Thrasher, Montrose, CO;and several nieces and nephews. In his earlier years Johnnie worked as a laborer in construction. He then worked for District 108 as a custodian for area schools until retiring in 1980. He was a member of Laborer's Local 231 and enjoyed woodworking. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Little officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to Harbor Light Hospice 2000 W.
