John Edward Veerman

John Edward Veerman, 80, of Pekin passed away at 6:45 am Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Pekin Hospital. John was born February 19, 1927 in Pekin to Carl and Nellie Mammen Veerman.He married Sarah Jean Callaway March 4, 1948 in Pekin.She survives. Also surviving are: two daughters, Joyce Veerman and Diane Veerman both of Pekin; two brothers Dean (Shirley) Veerman of Ludington, Mi and Don (Della) Veerman of Pekin. He was preceded by his parents and one sister, Irma Lou Faux. John was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin where he served as a Trustee for several years. John was a Lithographer for C&H Printing in Peoria. He was a W.W. II Navy Veteran.He was an avid Cub Fan.He also enjoyed reading and his dogs.
