John "Jack" I. Bond

John I. "Jack" Bond, 97, of Victoria, IL passed away at 6:18 PM Monday, August 26, 2024 at his home. Jack was born on April 22, 1927 in Maquon, IL to George William Irving and Floy (Davis) Bond. He married Evelyn L. Rickena on December 11, 1947 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Glasford, IL. She passed away on October 15, 2017. Also preceding in death are his parents and three sisters, Barbara Parks, Bette Utsler and Ruth Boyd. Surviving are: two sons, William I. (Martha) Bond of Pekin and Brian C. Bond of Scottsdale, AZ; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Jack was employed at Caterpillar Inc for over 35 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed traveling the world with his family. He was a devoted family man and husband. A service celebrating Jacks life will be at 10:30 AM Friday, October 25, 2024 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be a half hour before the service starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Peoria Salvation Army 417 NE Jefferson, Peoria, IL 61603.
