Joan D. "Jo" Dehart

Joan D. "Jo" Dehart, 92 of Pekin passed away at 6:40 am, Friday, June 17, 2022 at Reflections Memory Care in Pekin. She was born to Diedrich & Else (Vornkahl) Hesse in Saginaw, MI on October 5, 1929. She married Don Dehart in Pekin on June 17, 1950. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2015. Jo was also preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Henry Hesse. She is survived by one daughter, Victoria (Jim) Taylor of Pekin; three grandchildren, Ryan (Nicole) Gleason of Davenport, IA, Casey (Mark) Rimkus of New Lenox, IL, step granddaughter, Regan (Troy) Mills of Charlotte, NC; five great grandchildren, Lachlan Gleason, Carys Gleason, Knox Rimkus, Easton Rimkus and Cash Rimkus. Jo was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin. She worked at Pekin Insurance of 43 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the 25 Year Club and the Y.E.P.I.s at Pekin Insurance. Jos greatest treasure was her family, and time spent with them. Private memorial services will be held, Friday, June 24, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr. with Pastor Robert DeBolt officiating. Inurnment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
