Jimmie D. Breedlove

Jimmie D. Breedlove, 78, of San Jose, IL passed away at 6:30 PM Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Mason City Area Nursing Home. Jimmie was born June 22, 1938 in Pekin to Alfred 'Bart' and Addie (Lowry) Breedlove. He married Kay Goodin on February 14, 1957 in Manito. She passed away on June 21, 2001. Also preceding are his parents and four brothers, Jake, John J., Nelson and John H. Surviving are: two sons, Jim and Jeff Breedlove of San Jose; one brother, Jack (Loida) Breedlove of Manito; one sister, Virginia Fleming of Manito; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Marjean Dirks. Jimmie was employed by Caterpillar Inc. from 1969 - 1998. He also worked for Bernhausen Implement and Clay Equipment in the 1960's. Jimmie was a member of the San Jose United Methodist Church and Mason County Farm Bureau. He as an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed antique tractors especially Allis Chalmers. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at San Jose United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles McDonald officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to San Jose United Methodist Church or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
