Jerry Leon Sander

Jerry L. Sander, 73 of Pekin passed away at 2:43 pm, Monday, January 2, 2023 at UnityPoint Pekin Hospital. He was born to John Henry and Marie M. (Smith) Sander in Illmo, MO on March 5, 1949. Jerry was preceded in death by; his parents; two sisters; and ten brothers. He is survived by; one son, Jerry (Casandra) Sander of La Fayette, IL; one daughter, Jessica (Roy) Kraft of Wyoming, IL; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister. Jerry was a member of UAW local 974 and was retired from Caterpillar, Inc after 31 years. where he worked in heat treat. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and all things outdoors. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Per his request, cremation has been accorded and a private graveside service will be held at a later date in Lightner Cemetery in Scott, MO.
