Jenna Mahr, 14, of Pekin passed away at 5:18 AM, Saturday, August 26, 2023 at OSF St Francis Hospital in Peoria. She was born to Marty and Lori (Cochran) Mahr in Pekin on April 28, 2009. Jenna is survived by; her parents, Marty and Lori, two sisters, Riley and Haley Mahr of Pekin; her maternal grandparents, Collin and Sharlene Cochran of Mapleton; her paternal grandparents, Melvin "Buzz" and Rita Mahr of Pekin; and paternal great grandmother, Mary Ellen Mahr, and two dogs, Finn and Ollie. Jenna was known for being her silly, goofy self and was always making others laugh - often by making up silly nicknames for her loved ones or talking in an accent. Jenna had a love for Roblox and listening to her favorite K-pop group, Stray Kids. Jennas sisters joked that she is the "smart one" being on high honor roll her 8th grade year, and even being named student of the month for her achievements. Jennas creative spirit and artistic ability came naturally to her. She had an incredible ability to draw and loved all things drama and arts. She was looking forward to taking drama classes in high school. She dreamt of becoming a content creator and making videos for others to watch like she often did. Jenna was fiercely protective of her momma, and they had a remarkable mother/daughter relationship. She often liked to tease her father by calling him "sir" and by engaging in playful banter. She looked up to her big sister, Riley, and was looking forward to being an aunt someday. She and her big sister, Haley, had become the best of friends and were virtually inseparable. Jenna was always taking care of people whether that meant giving advice or helping out, she was always putting others before herself. She was described as being full of life and love, and was unapologetically herself dancing, laughing, and being goofy. "If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died." A visitation Celebrating Jennas Life will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr, Pekin, IL. Cremation has been accorded.
