Jeannette Leonard

Jeannette Leonard, 91, of 1520 El Camino Dr. passed away at 12:00 pm Monday, September 17, 2007 at Pekin Hospital. Jeannette was born March 18, 1916 in Pekin to Francis Hubbard and Susan Jeannette Fisher Smith. She married Maurice Oliver Leonard on January 12, 1946 in Washington DC. He died on January 17, 1950. Surviving are: two sons, Michael F. (and Julie) Leonard of Peoria and Paul E. (and Sharon) Leonard of Pekin; one daughter, Clarinda (and Terry) Hodgson of Pekin; six grandchildren, Nicole Baker, Nathan and Ross Hodgson, Zachery and Jay Leonard, Traci Blessman; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothea Roberts of Pekin. Jeannette work at Pekin Hospital from 1955 - 1962. She then worked at the Beuhler Home and Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She loved to do oil painting, arts and crafts, bowl, work crossword puzzles and play cards. Jeannette was a 20 year member of Post #44 American Legion Ausiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
