Jeanne G. Benningfield

Jeanne G. Benningfield, 66, of Peoria passed away at 11:25 pm Monday, February 15, 2010 at her home with her family at her side. Jeanne was born September 26, 1943 in Pekin, IL to Richard F. and Lenora A. (Roos) Wolfer. She married Dr. Frank Benningfield on August 1, 1964 in Pekin. Preceding in death are her parents and one sister, Lynn Schleder. Surviving is: her husband, Dr. Frank Benningfield of Peoria; two daughters, Tiffany Lynn (Dr. Tom) Ferlmann and Paige (Patrick) Benningfield-Dierker both of Peoria; four grandchildren, Abigail Ferlmann, T. Iain Ferlmann, Alec Ferlmann and Gabrielle Dierker; two sisters, Sharron Murray of Denver, CO and Christy (Rod) Loy of Pontiac. Jeanne graduated from Pekin High School in 1961, attended Bradley University and graduated from Midstate College in1964. She was crowned Miss Illinois in 1963. She worked for WIRL radio in Peoria and KSTT radio in Davenport, IA. She was Vice-President of Benningfield Chiropractic LLC from 1968 - 2000. Jeanne was a member of Northwoods Community Church in Peoria, Mt. Hawley Country Club and the ENP's Sorority. She was named to the Who's Who's of YWCA in the 1970's, was a former member andVice-President of Willow Knolls Country Club Women's Advisory Board, past board member Northmoor School Board and Peoria Area Civic Chorale. She served as a coordinator for Tee It Up For The Troops in 2009.
