Jeanette E. Schlobohm

Jeanette E. Schlobohm, 91, of Pekin, IL passed away at 6:15 AM Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Jeanette was born on December 6, 1931 in Pekin to Roscoe Arthur and Matilda Margaret (Reuling) Jennings. She married Rudolph H. Schlobohm on February 18, 1951 in Havana, IL. He passed away on June 15, 2001. Also preceding in death are her parents, step father, Oscar Livengood and two brothers, Edward & Arthur Jennings. Surviving are: one daughter, Debra (Dale) McKenny of Pekin; two sons, Melvin (Agnes) Schlobohm of Las Vegas, NV and Kevin Schlobohm of Pekin. Jeanette was a rural carrier for the Pekin Times for many years. She and her husband were lifelong farmers in Groveland Township. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Church Council Member. After retiring from the Times, she opened up a cat boarding business, and raised Persian kittens. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. Pauls United Church of Christ in Pekin with Pastor Heather Robertson officiating. Visitation will be one our prior from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ or a charity of the donors choice.
