Jazmine Calvana Dooley, 25 of Peoria, IL., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning at 8:05 am, September 12, 2017, from a seizure. She was born November 4, 1991 in Peoria IL. to Calvin Blissett and Charmin Dooley. Jazmine was proceeded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lenor Winders and her maternal aunts, Diane Harris and Martha Dooley. She is survived by her mother, Charmin Dooley of Peoria, IL, and father, Calvin Blissett of Milwaukee, WI,; one sister, Natosha Dooley (Undra Riggs) of Peoria, IL, one uncle, Franchot Harris of Peoria, IL. and numerous cousins, family and friends.She is also survived by her host family, The Spencers, and her very special friend John. Jazmine attended Limestone Community High School her freshman year and graduated from Peoria Heights High School in 2010 . She faithfully attended Grace Presbyterian Church for more than four years.She was a faithful, hard-working employee at EP!C in Peoria, IL. for the last five years. Jazmine was a role model to all and was loved by so many of her friends and family.Whatever task was presented to her she would work at it until it was completed.She was competitive and won numerous medals while participating in Special Olympics (bocce ball, bowling and basketball).She often talked about her experience as a Girl Scout. Jazmine looked forward to Halloween because she knew it was her opportunity to volunteer and scare thousands of people every year.She was a volunteer for Camp Big Sky and helped campers enjoy their day at camp.Jazmine enjoyed the many group activities she participated in such as Power Team and HISRA.A huge highlight in Jazmine's life was when Bremer Jewelry customized a piece of jewelry inspired by a nice piece of art Jazmine completed.The piece represented how Jazmine felt about a pet that she had to leave behind when she moved.Jazmine enjoyed spending time with her special friend, John.She enjoyed spending time with her host family whether it was at home or taking a trip.Jazmine enjoyed using her computer, talking on the phone and texting.She was so proud of her accomplishments, possessions and her family.She was extremely appreciative of anything anyone ever did for her.Jazmine was loving, kind, God fearing and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed playing cards (especially UNO), board games, socializing and being one of the gang.She loved parties!She loved to help set them up and then she would dance all night long. Jazmine made it known how much she treasured her family.She took great pride in telling everyone she met about them, and her dear friend John.Jazmine was a loving daughter and visited her Mom two times a week.She visited with her sister and cousins as often as she could.Jazmine was a true gem with a beautiful soul and will be missed by many. Come help us celebrate her life on Monday, September 18, 2017, from 9:00 am - 10:30 am, at EP!C, 1913 Townline Road, Peoria Illinois. Inurnment will be int Fondulac Cemetery, East Peoria. Contributions in memory of Jazmine Dooley may be made to either EP!C, HISRA, or the Girl Scout Association. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, Pekin, IL., is assisting the family with arrangements.
