Janice M. Woods

Janice M. Woods, 74 of Pekin passed away at 7:15 pm, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at her home. She was born in Lewis County, TN to Lester and Opal (Allen) Doss on September 23, 1948. She married Kenneth Clayton Woods on May 16, 1974 in Pekin. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1997. She is survived by one daughter, Leah Ruder of St. Louis. Janice was a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Pekin. She previously worked as a Bailiff at the Courthouse. Janice was a strong, courageous and independent woman who was an avid reader. Private graveside services have been held with burial in Glendale Memorial Gardens, Pekin, IL.
