Janette Brewington

Janette Brewington, 93, of Pekin, IL passed away at 9:30 PM Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at her son’s home near Green Valley, IL.

Janette was born on June 7, 1932 in Dresden, TN to Leslie and Vela (Reed) Biggers. She married Harrel B. Brewington on July 29, 1948 in Corinth, MS. He passed away on August 31, 2013.

Also preceding in death are her parents, one son, Ron Brewington and one brother, Leon Biggers.

Surviving are: two sons, Keith (Santana) Brewington of Green Valley and Dan Brewington of The Villages, FL; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Janette was a member of the Valley Chapel in Green Valley. She enjoyed going on cruises, playing cards, shopping, gardening and fishing. Most of she loved spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Nate Best officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Grove Evangelical Bible Church Cemetery in East Peoria.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
