Jane Lea Quarello

Jane L. Quarello, 63 of Pekin, passed away at 2:31 pm, Monday, January 16, 2023, at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago after battling cancer. She was born to Robert D. and Verna "Pete" (Spangler) Williams in Peoria on April 21, 1959. She married Robert Quarello in Pekin on May 6, 1989. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2010. She was also preceded by her parents. Jane is survived by her daughter Meredith (Joshua) Eastby of Chicago; two grandchildren, Kendall and Adelaide Eastby; and one sister, Mary (Gary) Helferich of Sunnyland. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. During her time there, she led and trained the Altar Servers, and was a Sacristan for Mass. Jane was the owner of Central Illinois Diener Service, where she worked as an Autopsy Assistant for over 40 years at area hospitals. She was a member of The Smokey Bear Association and founded the Bob Quarello Memorial Scholarship. Her hobbies included quilting, and she loved her family; they were her greatest treasure. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 21, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 303 S. 7th St, Pekin, IL with Father Michael Andrejek as celebrant. A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Friday, January 20, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr, Pekin, IL. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.
