James H. Morton

James H. Morton, 77, of Galesburg, IL passed away at 11:30 AM Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at his home. Jim was born on February 8, 1938 in Jefferson City, MO to James Harold and Anna R. (Murray) Morton. He married Genett Rourk on December 25, 1959 in Pekin, IL. She passed away on July 11, 2004. Also preceding in death are his parents and one daughter, Deborah Ann Morton. Surviving are: two sons, Billy Morton of Galesburg and James H. Morton of Orlando, FL; three daughters, Sue (Dorian) James of Bloomington, IL, Joann (Adam) Thompson of Galesburg, IL and Barb Morton of Galesburg, IL; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, March 30, 2015 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children 2900 N.
