James "Jim" R. Mcquinn

James R. "Jim" McQuinn, 81, of Creve Coeur, IL passed away at 5:17 AM Saturday, August 19, 2023 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. Jim was born on November 18, 1941 in Springfield, IL to James W. and Marie (Maatz) McQuinn. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy McQuinn. Surviving are: one son, James "Tom" (Trena) McQuinn of Edinburg, IL; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; one brother, Harold (Sherry) McQuinn of Lincoln, IL; special friend, Nancy Scaggs. Jim was a supervisor with Caterpillar, Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the River Valley Sportsman Club, Peoria Skeet Club and Tremont Sportsman Club. He was a pistol and shotgun instructor for kids. He enjoyed trap shooting and his vegetable garden. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Chaplin Scot Shelbourne officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services.
