James "Jim" H. Bloomer

James “Jim” H. Bloomer, 59, of Marquette Heights, IL passed away peacefully at 4:44 AM on Monday, June 22, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Jim was born on February 7, 1967 in Pekin to Harvey and Carolyn (Eggena) Bloomer. He married Becky Hayes on March 7, 2009 in Pekin, and together they shared many cherished years.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving is: his wife, Becky of Marquette Heights; one son, Naethan Bloomer of Green Valley; one step-son Chris Hayes of Marquette Heights; one step-daughter, Tera (Justin) Robinson of Pekin; one grandson, Lane Robinson; three sisters, Stacy (Brian) Cooper of CO, Terry (Homer) Lawson of Pekin, and Amanda Hoffman of Varna, IL; and his mother, Carolyn Trotter of Pekin.

Jim worked as a laborer for Illinois American Water, where he was known as a hardworking and dependable man. Outside of work, he found his greatest happiness in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time camping at Giant Goose Ranch, where many special memories were made. Whether enjoying the quiet of nature or the company of family and friends around camp, Jim appreciated life’s simple blessings.

Above all, Jim loved his family. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his caring heart, and the way he enjoyed sharing life with those closest to him. His love, laughter, and the memories he created will be treasured by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Cremation will be accorded following the service.
