James Dallas Henry

James D. Henry, 59 of Topeka, IL passed away at 3:00 pm, Monday, October 2, 2023 doing what he loved, fishing in rural Peoria County. He was born to Roy & Diane (Codemo) Henry in Pekin on May 25, 1964. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by: three children, twins Zachary Henry and Heather Henry, both of Pekin and Erin Henry of Miles, IA; one granddaughter, Taylyn Besson; three brothers, William Henry of Canton, IL, Jeffrey Henry of Havana, IL and Richard Henry of Peoria, IL.; and his three k-9 buddies, Willow, Luna, and Ope, and beloved grandcat, Guppy. Jim was a retired iron worker from Local 112. He loved fishing, hunting, morel hunting, and anything else that entailed being outdoors. His greatest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren, he was loved tremendously and will be greatly missed. Jims Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, October 9, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr, Pekin with Pastor Michael Lyons officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Forest City, IL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to an education fund for his grandchildren set up at CEFCU.
