James Ray Burress

James Ray Burress, 86, of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:18 AM on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Reflections Memory Care in Pekin. Jim was born on February 14, 1937 in Corinth, MS to Elmer and Jewell (Horn) Burress. He married Vivian Arnett on July 12, 1969 in Pekin. She passed away on September 28, 2020. Also preceding in death are his parents and one brother, Bobby Burress. Surviving are: one daughter, Charisa (Jeff) Richardson of Pekin, IL; two grandchildren, Audry Richardson and Dalton Richardson. Jim worked at Commonwealth Edison Powerton Station. He enjoyed playing golf, billiards and watching football. Private graveside services will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
