James "Jim" Bolson

James 'Jim' N. Bolson Sr., 61 of Pekin, passed away at 11:20 am Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria. Born March 7, 1955 in Pekin to Norman and Doris (Keen) Bolson.He married Lori Null on March 29, 1976 in Pekin. He is survived by his wife, Lori; two sons, James (Shelleena) Bolson Jr and Darrick (Leia Armstrong) Bolson both of Pekin; grandchildren, Stephen, Kaleann, Jayden, Kimberleigh, Jonathan, August, Dalton, Alisabeth; sisters, Sharon (Sam) Jones of Pekin, Cathy LaCock, Barbara Crady, Geri (Chip) Kuhlman all of Chillicothe, Candee (Dan) Mullen of Bartonville; brother, Melvin 'Butch' Bolson of Peoria; brother-in-law, Wes Britt of Clarksville, TN. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Cameron; and sister, Betty Britt. Jim was a union carpenter with Local #231 for 30 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, NASCAR, western movies and his greatest joy was his grandchildren. He was a veteran in the United States Army. Funeral service will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin with his nephews Rev. James Appel III and Rev. Joshua Appel officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, September 12 at the funeral home.Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
