Jack E. Logue Sr., 86, of Pekin, IL passed away at 7:20 AM Monday, January 6, 2014 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL Jack was born January 30, 1927 near Pana, IL to Jesse and Lena (Cameron) Logue. He married Lila L. Farrar on November 21, 1947 in Peoria, IL. She died on March 7, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. Surviving are: one son, Jack E. Logue Jr. of Pekin; two daughters, Carol Logue of Schererville, IN and Sandra (Gregory) Smith of Freeburg, IL; one granddaughter, Danielle Stanford of Tuscan, AZ; two great grandchildren, Regan Brown and Zaryk Stanford both of Tuscan, AZ. Jack was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Caterpillar, Inc. in 1994 after 25 years of service. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, enjoyed watching western movies and loved to feed the squirrels, birds and rabbits in his yard. Graveside services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, January 10, 2014 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin with Rev. Judy Doyle officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Illinois Army National Guard. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
