Iva Glass

Iva Glass, 96, of 2219 Crestview Drive passed way at 12:44 am Monday, May 07, 2007 in Pekin. Iva was born March 17, 1911 in Caldwell County, KY to Willie and Martha J. Stallings Baker.She married Hyland H. Glass on August 6, 1933 in Madisonville, KY.He preceded her in death on October 6, 1991. Iva was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, six sisters, and one grandchild, Christopher Glass. Surviving are: one son; Doyle H. (and Beverly) Glass of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA and Gilbert AZ; three grandchildren, Scott (and Cathy) Glass of Tustin CA, Steve (and Kelly) Glass of Coto DeCaza, CA, and Kimberly (and Rory) VanPoucke of Gilbert, AZ; five great grandsons, Josh and Robert Glass, Brett, Blake and Cody Doyle Van Poucke. Iva was a member of First Christian Church for 73 consecutive years.She was active in the Martha's Circle at her church.She had a great love for her church, neighbors and family. Iva was an ardent booster of Pekin High School sports all her life.The PCHS Class of 1951 will be Honorary Pallbearers and are especially invited to the visitation. She became friends with all her sons' friends, keeping her young at heart.
