Irvin Mikel "Mike" Koetter

Irvin Mikel "Mike" Koetter, 62, of Pekin, IL passed away at 6:10 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Unity Point Health Pekin. Mike was born on September 18, 1959 in Pekin to Robert and Linda (Martin) Koetter. He married Jocelyn Barnhart on February 14, 1980. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Cindy Koetter, one brother, Robert Koetter and one brother-in-law, Glenney Barnhart. Surviving is: his wife, Jocelyn of Pekin; one son, Justin Barnhart of Pekin; one grandson, Taylor Mikel Barnhart of Anderson, IN; three brothers, Kevin (Kitty) Koetter of South Pekin, IL, Steve (Judy) Koetter of Quartz Hill, CA and Larry (Sherry) Koetter of Peoria; one sister, Phyliss (Gene) Pugh of Plano, TX; five sister-in-laws, Denise Koetter of Pekin, Anne Koetter of Springhill, FL, Shelley Chism of Pekin, Duval Barnhart of Pekin and Sue Barnhart of Pekin; one brother-in-law, Travis Barnhart of Pekin. Mike was a self- employed truck drive and mechanic. He loved tinkering with cars. He and Jocelyn did dog grooming for over thirty years. A Celebration of Mike's life will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Mike's home, 1118 Summer St, Pekin, IL. Cremation has been accorded.
