Irma M. Jamirson

Irma M. Jamirson, 79, of Pekin passed away at 7:30 pm Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Irma was born on April 4, 1930 in Pekin to Thomas and Pearl (McQuin) Meade. She married Earnie Jamirson on May 4, 1948 in Pekin. He died on May 15th 1985. Also preceding in death are one grandchild, one great grandchild and three brothers. Surviving are: eight children, Richard Jamirson of Ramsey, IL, Melba (David) Hutton of Green Valley, IL, Sandra (Roger) Stone of Browning, IL, Cassie (Ray) Cole of Mansfield, OH, Sharon Brackett of Pekin, Chris (Chuck) Wilson of Manito, IL, William (Tabby) Jamirson of Mansfield, OH and Debra M. Jamirson of Pekin; one brother, Louis (Viva) Meade of Peoria, IL; three sisters, Clara (Dick) Arrowsmith of Bloomington, IL, Mary Huskinson of Phoenix, AZ and Norma Meade of Bloomington, IL; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Irma was a member of Faith Tabernacle. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzle books, playing Pinochle, working with plants and loved spending time with her family. She was a former board member of Parents Without Partners.
