Irene Liescheidt

Irene Liescheidt, 95 of Pekin passed away at 5:35 am, Friday, May 2, 2014 at Amy's Country Manor in Pekin. She was born May 13, 1918 in Delavan to Conrad and Dean (Sloter) Weyhrich.She married Roland Liescheidt July 7, 1947 in Freedom, MO.He passed January 30, 2004. Irene was also preceded by one son, Gary; one great grandson; three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by one son, Richard (Cindy) Liescheidt of Pekin; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. She was employed at American Distillery, Foster Gallagher and Caterpillar. Irene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a former member of the Concordia and Yesterday's Youth.She also was a member of Caterpillar Retiree's Club. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, gardening, quilting and playing cards. There will be no visitation or service.Cremation has been accorded. Burial will be at a later date at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting Irene's family with arrangements.
