Imogene R. Wyss, 79, of Pekin passed away at 1:55 am Sunday, July 22, 2007 after a long battle with cancer at her home surrounded by her family. Imogene was born in Pekin on April 4, 1928 to Robert and Margaret Rose Williamson.She married Irvin S. 'Red' Wyss in Pekin on June 23, 1946.He survives. Also surviving are: three sons; John (Dana) Wyss of Wisconsin, Don (Vicky) Wyss of Manito, Keith (Jami) Wyss of Pekin; two daughters, Jean (Doug) Grieser of Lincoln and Karen Wyss of Pekin; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Imogene had been employed as a cook at Dist 108 for 12 years before retiring.She also had worked at George Deppert and Sons Implement and Stafford Dairy.She enjoyed bowling, golf, and softball.Imogene also enjoyed cooking for her family. She was a member of the St. John's Sand Prairie Lutheran Church.
