Ida M. Depoy

Ida M. "Biddy" DePoy, 99 of Pekin passed away at 6:58 pm, Friday, October 25, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to Leonard J. and Cora Wilder in South Pekin, IL. She married Fred Lewis on January 11, 1942, he preceded her in death in 1969. She later married Junior Russell "Stag" DePoy on September 8, 1978. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1989. Also preceding her in death are her parents, one great grandson, Brandon Thomas Pollman; her son-in-law, Robbie Cagle; and eight siblings, Ethel, Elmer, Ray, Edgar, Gladys, Gertrude, Dickie, and Harvey. Biddy is survived by; her daughter, Diane Sheridan; two granddaughters, Jill Cagle and Julie (Jed) Antonini; 5 great grandchildren, Derek Shepler, Brianna Morris, Adienne Bowman, Tara Antonini, and Ashley Antonini. Eight great great-grandchildren, Mikaela, Maxx, Elena, Robbie, Isaiah, Maverick, Noah, and Lucas. She was a longtime member of Normandale Reformed Church. She was a member of the Womans Guild and served at the Hands of Love Caf. Biddy worked at many places over her wonderful life, she worked in housekeeping at Keystone Steel and Wire, and as a waitress at several local restaurants including Roxys. She was always on the go and was famous as one half of the "GO-G0 Girls" with her buddy Josephine Monge. They loved to go most anywhere, anytime. She was a talented Softball Player when young, and if anyone knew her, she was passionate about cleaning, even detailing the problem cars from a local dealership for them. Above all, the greatest love of her life was her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her Memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor David Craig officiating. A visitation will be held immediately prior from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Celebration of Biddys Life at Kouris in Pekin from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Normandale Reformed Church.
