Howard Berchtold

Howard A. Berchtold 78, of Pekin passed away at 10:28 am Thursday, May 11, 2017 at his home. Howard was born September 20, 1938 in Dillon, IL to Howard M. and Evelyn (Wienzierl) Berchtold. He married Sandra Bonnette on June 7, 1958 in Pekin. He was preceded in death by his parents. Howard is survived by his wife, Sandy; two sons, William (Vicki) Berchtold of Pekin, Brian (Gina) Berchtold of Groveland; two daughters Bonnie (Ken) Goodwin and Becky (Jason) Joiner both of Pekin; one sister Donna McDonald of Morton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Howard was a longtime foundry worker last working at Caterpillar. He was a longtime member of Caterpillar camping club and enjoyed camping with friends and family but especially enjoyed camping with his children.He loved to travel to Branson and go on cruises with his children. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday May 15, 2017 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded after services.
