Henry Carl Hintz

Henry C. Hintz, 87, of Manito, IL passed away at 10:38 AM Thursday, October 17, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Henry was born on September 6, 1937 in Pekin, IL to Paul and Mary (Schimmelpfenning) Hintz. He married Sharilyn Vogel on May 12, 1957 at St. Pauls Lutheran. Preceding in death are his parents, one brother, Lester Hintz, one sister, Martha Canada, one brother in-law, Gene Canada Surviving are: his wife, Sharilyn of Manito; two daughters, Cindy (Rich) Williams of Manito and Debbie (Jerry) Urish of Manito; five grandchildren, Brett (Mindy Fisher) Caulkins, Breanne (Matt) Miller, Joshua (Erin) Howard, Ashley (Blair) Steffens and Mike (Taylor) Urish; seven great grandchildren, Wyatt, Kate, Henry, Desi, Connor, Brooke and Brennen. Henry farmed in Spring Lake Township his whole life. He enjoyed farming, working on machinery, and going to farm sales. He enjoyed all the many conversations he had over the years in his machine shop, with neighbors and friends. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM 7:00 PM Monday, October 21st at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Additional visitation will be from 9:30 AM 10:30 AM Tuesday at the church. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Manito with Pastor Matthew Berndt officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito.
