Helen L. Duncanson

Helen L. Duncanson, 89, of Pekin, IL passed away at 1:13 PM Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria, IL. Helen was born on August 9, 1926 in Green Valley, IL to Russell and Florence (Alexander) Nichols. She married Harry Mount in November 1954. She later married Thomas Lord in November 1973. He passed away on August 11, 1988. She married William Duncanson on January 1, 1990. He passed away August 12, 2015. Also preceding in death are her parents, two brothers and one sister. Surviving are: two sons, John (Christina) Mount of Washington, IL and Steven (Glenna) Mount of Havana, IL; one daughter, Linda Friend of Ypsilanti, MI; two step sons, W. Thomas (Vera) Duncanson of Champaign, IL and Alan (Juliet) Duncanson of Indianapolis, IN; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, three step great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Helen was employed by AT&T/Ameritech in Springfield, IL for 22 years, retiring in 1985 as Assistant Manager. Sewing was her passion but she also enjoyed embroidery and quilting. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery.
